Let’s face it, you only have a few seconds to grab a prospect’s attention.
If you fail, you wasted your advertising dollars…
And lost a sale.
Talk about pressure, right?
To make matters worse…
You’re competing against large corporations that spend gobs of money to get eyeballs on their campaigns…
The same eyeballs (and potential revenue) you’re targeting too.
Which means, people are inundated with advertising. They see ads and commercials absolutely everywhere. And they’re becoming numb (i.e. your advertising is just becoming white noise.)
Which also means, your campaign has to emotionally hit extremely targeted prospects over the head with a 2x4. Metaphorically speaking, of course. But that’s how memorable your ads, your copy, your videos, your everything must be.
Here’s the silver lining…
When you pixel and retarget prospects… and your advertising already made an impact on them… you’re way more likely to close a sale.
So here are the top 3 ways to grab people’s attention… and hopefully… increase your conversions:
1) Shock or surprise prospects with something they won’t expect. Quite frankly, it doesn’t even have to be a major part of your campaign. Just find a way to stand out in a few short seconds. Then leverage the attention you just grabbed with some emotionally-driven benefits that make prospects feel like you read their minds.
2) What’s your big promise? Because to stand… or even jump out from the white noise, you need to really declare what your core audience wants. Spend a lot of time on this one.
3) Tell a story (social proof) or be as demonstrative as possible. People crave specificity. They want to know what your solution “does for me?” Show them. And do it fast. (Think Apple.)
The bottom line is…
Just asking the question, “Is my advertising memorable,” will likely make an instant impact in the effectiveness of your advertising.
Nothing to sneeze at.
